M&M's..

Apparently when you eat peanut m&m's in second life you go start bending in crazy ways and then pass out..

Group Meeting

1. Virtual Society vs. Real World
Well in the virtual society you can teleport, walk through walls, and fly which are obviously things we can't do in the real world. Also in the virtual world you can go anywhere in the virtual world, such as another country, with the click of a button. You can do so many things in second life that you might not be able to do so easily in the real world such as teleport to an ocean to scubadive in two seconds!

2. Group Meetings in Second Life vs. On Blackboard
Group meetings on blackboard are better unless there is more than a couple people on blackboard. When that happens the conversations are pretty delayed. But in Second Life it was a little bit worse. With only a few people chatting we found our computers to be going very slow and our conversations quite delayed. Nothing is better than an actual real life, face-to-face meeting.

3. How Virtual Worlds Increase Learning and Teaching For Students
Virtual worlds are more interactive and can be fun for students. You could travel to other parts of the world with your class in second life. Many groups of teachers and students can be in one place at the same time. If it was a history class and you were learning about the Sistine Chapel you could actually go there and see a replica of it.

4. Implications of Art and Society
Implications of Second Life on art is that Second Life is a very visual interactive world. It is a work of art. There are many replicas of art such as the Sistine Chapel. In the movie theater we visited there were replicas of movie posters all over. The Implications of Second Life on society is that it can make people more sociable. Someone who is very quiet and shy in real life can say be more sociable in Second Life because they are not actually speaking.. they are typing. It can also have a bad impact because it can consume peoples life. Most of the places we visited were full of people who seemed to have a lot of knowledge about second life and seemed to have spent a lot of time on there.

So to go along with our theme of movies.. we decided to meet at a movie theater! Here are some pictures from our meeting..
